Global Business Investor Program (GIP)
For entrepreneurs intending to start a business or invest in Singapore, the Global Investor Program (GIP) offers the opportunity to apply for Singapore Permanent Residency (PR).
GIP stands as Singapore’s sole investment immigration pathway, favored by numerous Chinese entrepreneurs. As per the program’s guidelines, you have the option to choose from any of the following investment schemes:
Scenario A
Invest SGD 10 million in a new or existing business in Singapore. This includes paid-up capital and employing at least 30 employees, with half being Singapore citizens and 10 new hires.
- Submit a 5-year business plan.
- Hold ≥30% shareholding and be part of the management team.
- Operate in an industry
Scenario B
Invest SGD 25 million in a GIP-selected fund.
- Be prepared to share additional business plans for Singapore (beyond GIP-select fund investment).
- Invest in a fund from the updated list
Scenario C
Establish a family office with assets under management of SGD 200 million, including SGD 50 million in Singapore-based investments (EDBusiness).
- Submit a 5 year business plan for Single-Family Office.
- Transfer and hold ≥S$50M investible AUM in Singapore.
- Deploy ≥S$50M within 12 months in:
- Equities/REITS/Business Trusts (Singapore-approved exchanges)
- Qualifying debt securities (MAS enquiry system)
