Entry Notice
We pleased to offer essential details and useful tips on entering Singapore.
- IPA (Temporary Student Visa)
- SG Arrival card (72 hours before departure)
- Vaccine completion certificate in Chinese or English (WeChat mini program – epidemic prevention health code international version)
- Passport (valid for at least six months)
- Negative nucleic acid report in English 48 hours before entry (if there is proof of vaccine completion, nucleic acid report is not mandatory when entering Singapore, but it is still very recommended)
- On the day of departure, apply for the domestic customs declaration code, search for WeChat mini program – customs passenger fingertip service, or someone will issue a QR code for you to scan when checking in.
- IPA (Entry Permit Letter issued by MOM), which contains a single-use visa. The IPA letter is valid for six months from the date of issue, please note that you must enter Singapore before expiration.

- Queue up for entry, bring entry materials according to different visas, other types of visa officers will guide the completion of face recognition, thumb fingerprint records of both hands, except for tourist visas.
- Look for the ‘Package’ logo and take it to checked baggage.
- You’re successfully entered Singapore (while some people are required to go through another round of security check, depending situation).
- Nucleic acid is not required to enter Singapore, but it takes 48 hours to enter the airport with nucleic acid and green code.
- You can activate estimated roaming, apply for one-day unlimited data package, and purchase a Singapore mobile network SIM card after approached.
- After landing, don’t rush to find the luggage claim. Follow the exit to the Immigration Hall. Customs requires fingerprints to be taken before you can find the word “Package”.
- Buy some essential medicines for travel in case of weather conditions, soil and water inadequacies or other emergencies.
Life information
- Singapore, located near the equator, experiences a tropical climate with frequent heavy sun or sudden heavy rains. While the rain showers are usually short, it’s a good idea to carry an umbrella when traveling outdoors to be prepared for any unexpected weather conditions.
- Singapore has three major telecom companies: SINGTEL, STARHUB, and M1. They offer a range of prepaid (5-30 days) and postpaid packages that cover local and international calls, SMS, and mobile data. To purchase a SIM card, you’ll need to present a local ID card or passport. You can buy SIM cards at Changi Airport Telecom counters, 711, Cheers, or other convenience stores.
- Get free Wi-Fi in Singapore! Many public areas and commercial buildings offer free Wi-Fi, including WIRELESS@SG, which covers the entire country. Connect for free at shopping malls, museums, subway stations, libraries, and other public areas. Just register with a local phone number to log in.
- Singapore’s standard electricity is 220-240 volts, 50 Hz AC, with a British-style three-pin plug. To use your electronic devices or household appliances, you’ll need to purchase a conversion head to adapt the Singapore plug to your domestic plug type. This ensures safe and compatible use of your devices.

Stage 1
Online appointment registration
Involves submitting your documents and getting them verified. Here are the three authorized driving centers where you can do this:

Stage 2
Then take a basic theory BTT test
Book your BTT test appointment at any of the three driving centers

Stage 3
Prepare the necessary documents.
· Original and photocopy of passport
· Original and photocopy of driver license (holding a ‘Chinese’ driver’s license for more than half year)
· Translation of driver license if in Chinese(a translation company registered in Singapore with local qualifications)
· Original and photocopy of valid Singapore Pass (Work Pass, Dependant Pass, Student Pass, Permanent Resident, etc.)
· A two-inch ID photo with a white background
· Conversion of driver’s license application form (filled in on-site) -

Standby to receive Singapore Driving License
· Your Singapore driving license will be processed and issued
· You'll receive a physical license card
